Fern & Field began in 2016 with a wheelbarrow, a borrowed pickup, and Willa Hart's conviction that Hudson Valley gardens should feel inevitable — as if they'd always been there, waiting under the lawn.
Today the studio is a close team of horticulturists and makers. We take on a small number of gardens each year and stay with them season after season, which is exactly how we like it.
